Cafe König in Bad Herrenalb

Cake just like we wanted it. We were looking for a cake for our wedding. After several attempts at different confectioners, we had almost given up hope of finding a cake to our taste. Either a hundredweight of fondant was suggested, which we had previously categorically excluded, or ingredients were suggested that we had previously expressly mentioned as allergens. Here we got a fluffy, light cake with lots of fruit that was absolutely to our taste. Thanks for that.

Average cakes /pastries, seemed freshly baked but maybe too frozen than they should be. The pastries looked better than they tasted.

Wonderfully old-fashioned with a sensational selection of cakes. Delicious !! The onion cake is also highly recommended.

A great place for afternoon coffee, late breakfast or a quick snack. The pies and cakes are without exception delicious, large selection, there is something for everyone. Delicious coffee in many variations. Also to mention the very friendly and brisk service. People like to come here.

Very friendly and quick service, we would have liked to have tried more of the delicious cake ... but which one ??? Despite a full house, the boss had a short chat! We would like to come again!!!

Cakes and rolls delicious and completely ok. The service was just rude when asked if there was a menu, we were only told yes, but we didn't get a menu The neighboring table was also not given a menu when asked. I would say the lady chose the wrong job.

The soup, the coffee, the cake tasted amazing. The operation doesn't work at all! Rude, asked twice for the card and didn't get it. No other guests either ... I wouldn't come back just for that!

Actually, I had expected "cure reductions" in the amount of food. The opposite was the case. And was delicious. Very good price-performance ratio.

Busy, mediocre service in a very busy place. Note, no pin payment possible in 2020, were sent to a bank further on.

But the service was nice. The Black Forest cake was unfortunately not the burner and with the coffee there was milk in plastic packets.

This morning I was having breakfast with a friend at Cafe König. We also ordered the dream breakfast. It was our first time and it will certainly not be the last. We were completely satisfied with EVERYTHING !!!!! It couldn't be better. Not only was the breakfast delicious, the lady who served us was very friendly and left nothing to be desired. It's incredible what some people write in their review. It can only be about people who cannot be completely satisfied. Such people should prepare their breakfast at home and not damage the reputation of such a good café, especially in times of Corona. I can only recommend Cafe König and hope that not too many people let themselves be influenced by the few bad reviews.

Very delicious cake selection, top coffee specialties and the homemade waffle with cream, ice cream and compote was great! In addition, super friendly staff, I'll be back!

Today we redeemed the voucher my wife got for a dream breakfast. We started off happily and unfortunately we were disappointed. First of all, there were only 5 types of rolls which, in my opinion, weren't fresh either. We asked if we could have a sharp bread knife. Answer: We don't because we usually only have breakfast on Saturday and Sunday anyway. The jam selection was a hit. A mini bowl that was just enough for a roll. Everything you needed extra you had to pay extra. We didn't want any champagne and I asked if I could have scrambled eggs for it. Answer no that doesn't work. Then we ordered the scrambled eggs separately which was an omelet and not scrambled eggs. The fruit bowls were nicely done, unfortunately the peaches in them weren't ripe. Which we also told the staff. There was never an apology or a suggestion whether we would like something else. The next time we go back to the bakery for breakfast with scrambled eggs and everything that goes with it, even several types of jam. It's a shame since we can actually recommend the coffee, but only for cake, cake, coffee, tea. The staff was also quite annoyed and not cooperative.

Unfortunately very stiff staff. When I wanted to order two eggs and a roll at 4 p.m., I was told that this was only possible until 2 p.m. However, I could have ordered warm dishes, such as Maultaschen (with egg). That means: there were eggs, there was a kitchen that was open, but no egg was offered to me. Sure: Because only until 2 p.m. Too bad.

Great selection of cream and cream cakes, as well as cakes. There is always something for big and small customers !! Homemade ice cream, especially in an iced coffee, tastes great. The selection of hot drinks also leaves nothing to be desired. For me, one of the addresses in Bad Herrenalb for a while to linger. If you like it a little quieter, you should come between 3:45 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Friendly, nice staff, very comfortable. There is a large selection of cakes and pies, good average, but nothing special. Good overall.

The cherry crumble here is a dream, the next time with cream, a hot cappuccino, a very friendly service and a nice place at the window, - what more could you ask for, top!

Price is good, food is good, location is great.
